• Roofs are Designed w/raised 7" to 12" Energy Heels to allow for more Insulation (no ice daming from heat loss)
• Walls are Dense Pack Spray Cellulose to R-26 with 1" Foam (Applegate System)
• Attics are loose Spray Cellulose to R-50
• Cathedral ceilings get built in air space for increased ventillation & 1" Thermx foam on interior to create more insulation and an air tight vapor barrior with all seams taped.
• All electric outlets/switches & fixtures, all piping/vent & other extrusions, and all doors and windows are air sealed with foam or calking creating a complete aire and vapor sealed home.
• Blower door test have proven an estimated natural air exchange per hour to be .04 due to our air tight construction process, where most new homes are .20-.35 per hour.
• Building an air sealed home requires good mechanicals drawing outside air only. Air to aire Heat Exchangers (Heat Recovery Ventilators) deliver fresh air to the home while expelling stale moist air to the outside keeping the home safe, fresh, and the humidity low without losing heat or air conditioning.
• Coupling all of the above with a high efficiency furnace with a variable speed blower and a state of the art hot water system, creates a very low utility cost, high efficiency home.
